JOIN US ON NOVEMBER 9-11, 2024, AS WE GATHER in Elkton, MARYLAND, FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY CELEBRATION OF YOUTH MOUNTAIN BIKING!

The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and eleven NICA leagues proudly present the 2024 NICA Eastern Regional Festival & Championships, bringing together NICA programs, and leagues, from across the eastern seaboard.

The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) develops interscholastic mountain biking programs for student-athletes across the United States.

AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE AWAITS!

Get ready for a weekend filled with unforgettable moments. Our festival aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment, encouraging young riders to revel in the thrill of mountain biking and connect with their peers.

Competition

This invitation-only event brings together riders from across the East Coast, allowing them to test their abilities against the region’s best.

Invitations are granted by leagues based on riders' outstanding performances in previous races. Qualifying high school students will receive invitations to register from their league.

Qualifying riders must register to race, using the information provided by their league, in order to compete. Registration is limited and will close when categories are full. There is no day-of race registration available.

Note: Race registration includes access to all Youth Mountain Bike Festival activities including Expo, and coach-led adventure programming.

Adventure Rides

Immerse yourself in the spirit of NICA! Any current NICA athlete (from any league), as well as any interested 6th-12th graders, can join guided rides on the beautiful trails surrounding the venue. No matter their skill level, speed, or experience, students will get to enjoy the outdoors on two-wheels, with a few pit stops for fun activities and games.

Note: Adventure participation is included with any race registration–you do not need a general admission registration if you are racing.

GRiT (Girls Riding Together) & Activities

Open to all female NICA athletes and coaches, as well as any interested women and 6th-12th grade girls, our GRiT ride will be a fun, inclusive and welcoming space for all female-identifying riders to explore the trails and get more girls on bikes! The weekend’s GRiT activities will also include female-only clinics and fun off-the-bike activities.

Note: GRiT participation is included with any event registration–you do not need a general admission registration if you are racing or participating in the Adventure rides.

Rad Dads and Male Allies are also welcome to join in the GRiT ride and activities!

Teen Trail Corps

Make sure to stop by the Teen Trail Corps (TTC) area at the NICA Regionals. Jump into some fun activities like rock crawling (with prizes!) and yard games. Learn more about the great work that TTC is doing in our region. Plus, NICA will be recognizing the top 2 male and female TTC participants in each high school grade level across all 11 leagues with awards.
